Movement Consultant

I specialize in complex movement problems, more recently focusing on lumbopelvic cases that haven't responded to standard rehab, traditional strength programs, or generic training.

Growing up, I played high-level basketball. I was healthy, prepared, and performing well, until a major knee injury changed that. The surgery and rehab that followed didn't go as planned, and twelve months later, I was still in severe pain. Every specialist, physio, and surgeon I saw gave me the same answer: this is just how it is now. In hindsight, nobody was asking the right questions. They followed the flow chart straight to generic strength work, and never looked at how my knee actually moved.

That's what changed everything. I stopped treating the body like a flow chart and started treating it like a unique puzzle. This shift was partly self-taught, partly shaped by mentors like Austin Einhorn and Nick Del Bianco, who saw it the same way. My own knee turned out to be a movement quality problem, not a strength problem. Once I addressed how it actually moved, the pain resolved for good.

That's the whole premise of how I work now. I like solving complex puzzles, and the lumbopelvic region is the most complex puzzle in the body. That's exactly where the most people fall through the cracks of the flow chart, still in pain, still being told "this is just how it is."

Easton Huley

Altera means to change.

Here's my process.

01 - Listen

I start by listening.

Before I look at how you move, I need to understand what you've already been through. What you've tried, what worked, and what didn't.

02 - Explore

I look at mechanics and capacity.

I assess how efficiently you move and your ability to sustain specific movement patterns under load and through fatigue. I see if your tissues are prepared for the demands being asked of them.

03 - Experiment

I run experiments.

The consult and assessment create a priority list of what needs to change. Now I start testing with small, targeted and sometimes novel interventions designed to show me what your body responds to. Progress is the compass and if it's working, I follow it. If it isn't, I pivot.

04 - Coach

I stay ahead of the problem.

Once I've found what works, the focus shifts from reacting to staying ahead. I track how your body is responding to training and sport demands, reinforce what's working, and address subtle changes before they become setbacks. This is where real resilience is built.
